Still doing database work

I spent the past month updating the links and entries for Benton-Franklin counties in the database. This involved a lot of research (i.e., googling) to find websites for services that either had no website link or the link was old and incorrect.

There were short interludes where I edited documents Ronda, my supervisor, wrote.

I've been continuing to work on finding hidden social service resources within the state of Washington in order to post them on our website. I spent a considerable amount of time checking our listings and finding new resources for Spokane county. I must have found at least 200 more resources for Spokane county and updated another 100 with website links. …read more

Locating More Resources

The main project I've been working on is to locate more resources for social services, especially for help with foreclosures. Once located, I then put them on the website according to the county served. Project had Fun Stuff to do

While I'm still in the process of updating the service listings in the database, I had a 2-week respite from that, creating reports from the case management system. The fun part was using Crystal Reports to create the reports. The process involved downloading data from the system into Excel worksheets, then overlaying the spreadsheet with Crystal Reports. …read more
